When we have a ride planned but cold weather tries to make us change our plans, we embrace the cold with the Pearl Izumi Pro Alpha Layer. Designed as a base or mid-layer for chilly winter rides or as a stand-alone layer on cool-weather rides, the Pro Alpha Layer is a staple in our fall-to-winter cycling apparel selection. Featuring a form-fitting cut and a main fabric made of Polartec Alpha Direct synthetic insulation, the Pro Alpha Layer is warm, easy to layer with, and has a stylish, yet plain design that looks great on its own. The Polartec Alpha Direct fabric is warm on the inside, is moisture-wicking, and has a brushed exterior to help further insulate us when used with an exterior layer. Three rear pockets allow us to store our essentials for quick access, and the extended rear hem keeps us covered hen in the riding position.
