When we want added core warmth without the added bulk, we slip into the KUHL Spyfire Hooded Down Vest with its 800 fill power goose down. That premium down provides extra warmth without extra weight while the jacket's water-resistant finish protects us and the down from surprise showers and flurries. That being said, we really bought this vest for the look and the fit —the body-mapped insulation, baffles, and articulated fit make us look athletic and trim in all the right places.
